When the Aluminium division of Rio Tinto approached us, they were looking for a printed piece that could be given to decision makers who specialize in manufacturing for the auto industry. It needed to communicate why Rio Tinto is a global leader in aluminium mining and production, and how all of the company's products are used in cars today. The cover of the brochure with back pocket folder and inserts, lovingly produced in collaboration with illustrator Phil Adams, presents an aluminium wheel literally being extruded from a Rio Tinto ingot. Upon opening the brochure, the wheel is seen on a car and the story of Rio Tinto's aluminium products begin. The inserts in the back of the piece contain technical specifications and outline product features.
