Sterling Silver Overlay

Photo of tree wrapped in lights

In 2014, close friends let us know that they had been asked to present their one-of-a-kind collection of glassware with silver overlay to the Carder Steuben Club at the Corning Museum of Glass, and they asked if Convey360 would help them design the visuals. Each piece in their collection was lovely, and as a series — absolutely breathtaking. Typography and style were chosen to reflect and complement the decorative curves and stability of the collection. The main pieces were a flyer and PowerPoint presentation, and later a coffee table book. Truly, we felt honored to be part of this project.

The decorative process of silver overlay, or sometimes called silver deposit, developed during the late nineteenth century, and was popular until approximately 1911. A lecture by one of the premier collectors of this art form was given in September of 2014.
